ABOUT ME

Hey there, my name is MJ!

I am an aspiring creative, fresh out of college with top grades, eager to gain experience and pursue a career in the creative media industry, with passions in illustration and filmmaking. Overall, I am a storyteller with a desire to share my stories to bring people joy, as well as help people to feel seen, with the storylines I aim to convey and the wide variety of characters that I create.

My work often reflects themes of fantasy and the supernatural, as well as a high focus on emotions and utilising smaller details to portray larger narrative points. Despite this, I am not limited to creating work of these themes and I am very flexible and adaptable, using my own creative flourish to take on challenges and abide to client briefs.

I have experience with creating social media graphics and curating posts for a financial organisation, as well as doing freelance commission work, illustrating thumbnails for a gaming-centred YouTube channel, as well as designing and illustrating original characters for friends and clients.
